Help us with
2024 Paganicon
(March 15th-17th)

Paganicon is an amazing, magical event – and it needs amazing, magical people to make it happen!
Even if you have just a couple of hours, we can use you! We primarily need people who can help with setup and tear down, pre-registration check in, and LOTS of badge checkers. If none of those sound like your thing, email volunteers@tcpaganpride.org to see if you can find another way to help.
And besides the good karma and feelings, for every TWO SHIFTS that you work, you can get a $15 REBATE off of your registration for this year or next year.

Setup and tear down: turning the hotel into a magical space and returning it to its standard condition. Main objective is to assist Board Members and Paganicon Staff in getting the hotel ready for the convention and/or packing up and putting away items when it is over. You should be mobile and able to lift/carry items without difficulty. Shifts are available all day Thursday and Sunday evening.

Pre-registration check in: check in and get a badge to those people who pre-registered. You obtain the person’s name from their ID or their confirmation email, look them up on the computer, and check them in. Find their pre-printed badge and hand it to them along with a program. Answer any questions they may have and provide other information as communicated by Operations. Chairs are provided, but it can be very fast paced and somewhat chaotic. Good customer service skills required. Shifts are available Thursday evening through Friday.

Badge checking: make sure everyone in convention attendee-only areas have a badge visible. If they do not, ask them politely to show it to you. If someone does not have a badge, direct them to Operations. Some locations where badge checkers are stationed are seated, others are mobile. If you need a seated area, please note that in your application. Shifts are available during the convention, Friday-Sunday.

Please note: You are expected to dress appropriately (functional for the task you will be doing) and maintain politeness and professionalism at all times. Refrain from speaking negatively about others or the event while “on the clock”. Arrive on time, with a positive attitude, ready to work. And thank you for your help! We look forward to working with you.
