2pm: Totally Northern Tribal (aka “TNT”):
“Totally Northern Tribal (TNT) is a Tribal Group Improvisation bellydance troupe in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. The troupe formed in 2004. Our main tribal influences are Fat Chance Belly Dance, Gypsy Caravan and Kajira Djoumahna. We feel free to adapt and modify movements from these influences and from raks sharqi to create our own style. All members have prior bellydance studies with raks sharqi and folkloric teachers in the Twin Cities and elsewhere.

Group Tribal Improvisation is a method of belly dance that allows a group of dancers to create an improvised dance. The method was invented by Carolena Nericcio of Fat Chance Belly Dance. Carolena calls her specific style of group tribal improvisation American Tribal Style. Many other tribal improv groups, including Totally Northern Tribal, have expanded on Carolena’s work to develop their own styles.

3pm: Dunn County Clerics
Dunn County Clerics is an acoustic vocal band performing folk music with influences of Celtic and Country. Their style is earmarked by close, three and four-part harmonies. DCC’s eclectic sound incorporates elements of Rock, Country and the New York Folk scene of the 60’s. Their concerts include few covers, as most of their material is original, blending humor with social awareness to get the message across. Born out of the festivals, Dunn County Clerics came together to jam one afternoon and relax with a little music. From this, they explored what magic could be made by writing and arranging their own material. Between the four of them, they have over 50 years experience in music; from backup to solo work.

4pm: Currently not scheduled (but watch this space for changes!)

Originally from New Jersey, she currently calls Minnesota her home. She performs solo as well as with a drummer and or/ a bass player. Her 4th CD, Clone was released in December 07.

Sunday

Noon: Three Poppet Opera
TPO and Rolando Rotundo are proud to present “Pagan Follies” a variety show with a point (just how sharp a point, we’re not saying). Take a touch of the Muppets (but not Kermit and Miss Piggy — they were just too high-priced for this gig), and blend it with a liberal dose of Ed Sullivan’s wide-ranging variety. Season the
mix liberally with spices and serve with a large dollop of humor. Kid-friendly and Adult-witty.

2pm: Kari Tauring
The otherworldly sound of kulning and lokking, cow calling vocals of the setterjente (upland herding girls) and the Huldre (cow-tailed fairy women) waft over the fairgrounds. Tauring‘s presentations compel us to listen. Using props such as a real 20,000 BC Danish flint knife, a replica of a Scandinavian Bronze Age string skirt (2000 BC), and rune letters from 20 BC to the Middle Ages, Tauring sings and tells the stories of our deep Scandinavian tap root. Medieval rune songs, passages from the sagas, Huldre Lokk, Stav rhythm and dance weave through masterful story telling that gives a history lesson in a most enchanting way.

3pm: Becca and Graham Leathers
Join Becca (one half of Riverfolk) and her husband for music and more!

4pm: Dave Schall (storytelling)

5pm: Reve du Fau
Join Reve du Faun, a Minnesota Renaissance Festival favorite, for music to finish off our weekend!
