Basics

Paganicon 2012 was an awesome success! We came, we talked, we listened, we learned things, we danced all night, and we made lots of connections for next year. This year’s attendees came largely from the upper Midwest, but we had attendees from both coasts and from Canada!

A big thank you to everyone who made the weekend a delight! The board of Twin Cities Pagan Pride would like to thank everyone who made Paganicon a huge success this weekend:

  • Our guests of honor Christopher Penczak and SJ Tucker
  • All the musicians, presenters, ritualists and artists who enriched our programming with so many offerings
  • The vendors who dazzled us with magical and whimsical wares all weekend
  • The volunteers who offered their time and energy to be of service to the community, especially Lynn who ran the hospitality suite.
  • The generous individuals who donated supplies and expenses toward our hospitality suite.
  • ALL the creative souls who made our ball more magical by dressing in costume, even if they didn’t win an award.
  • And everyone who participated, especially those who smiled at someone, hugged someone, or spread good energy in some way.

We’re still riding high on the wave of magic, love, and success from this weekend, but we’re already thinking of next year. If you didn’t have time to fill out your feedback form at the con, the form is now up on our website. Please fill it out if you have the chance.

We’re also excited to announce our date for Paganicon 2013 (March 15th-17th, 2013.) We hope that you’ll consider joining us! More information below. Love and blessings to you all, and hope to see some of you at Twin Cities Pagan Pride Day at Minnehaha Falls Park on Sept. 8, 2012!

What people are saying: Check out what people are saying about us on our “This year at Paganicon” page. If you’ve written a public blog post or any other material you’d like to share, please let us know (email info@tcpaganpride.org), and we’ll add it to the list!

Did you present at Paganicon 2012? If you have materials to share with attendees and those curious about our programming, please let us know (you can email info@tcpaganpride.org for this as well.)

Paganicon 2013:

When: March 15th to 17th, 2013.

Where: The Doubletree Park Place in St. Louis Park, MN (same as our past two years).

We don’t have the hotel reservation system set up yet, but room rates will be $85 plus taxes for a king or double/double room, and $125 plus taxes for a suite. (These are a discount on their normal rates.)

Almost all convention events will be on the second floor (their upstairs conference space and the suites along the atrium) making it even easier to get between different items, as they were this year. We’re also bringing back the closing afternoon tea of our first year, by popular demand (included in your registration fee.)

Guests of honour: We’ll be discussing this over the coming weeks and months, based on your feedback and comments (and suggestions from other sources). If you have additional comments, you can share them on our feedback form or via email to info@tcpaganpride.org.

Cost: Our registration rates for 2013 will be at the same as 2012. (We also offered a $45 at-the-con registration at the event this year and expect to do that again.) We’ll be using our online registration system, but also offering a way to register more easily for those without computer access.

  • $50 until just after Twin Cities Pagan Pride 2012 (which is September 8th, 2012)
  • $65 until March 2nd, 2012.
  • $80 from then until the end of the event. (As we did this year, our online registration will remain open – we had a lot of late registrations.)
  • We also offer a supporting membership: pay in two parts (half before September 8th, half before or at the event.)

Special note to vendors: As we did last year, we will be offering up to two discounted memberships for each vendor ($30 per registration). Our vendor registration will open after our Twin Cities Pagan Pride fall event, to help us (and our vendors!) keep everything organised.

Curious about previous years? You can find information about our 2011 event and information about our 2012 event in their own pages.

Questions? Please email info@tcpaganpride.org for right now: we’re working on streamlining our communication channels.
