Paganicon

We’re excited to announce Paganicon, a new indoor (springtime) conference in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.

When:
Friday, March 25th through Sunday, March 27th, 2011
(Events will run from around 6:00pm on Friday night until around 4pm on Sunday afternoon)

Visit our registration page for information about costs and our simple registration process. Registration is $45 until September 27th, 2010, and then will increase in two stages.

Where:
Doubletree Park Place in St. Louis Park, MN (just west of Minneapolis on highway 394). The hotel has ample free parking, and is easily accessible by bus. There are many food options nearby in all price points, and the hotel is skilled in providing tasty food for a wide range of dietary preferences or needs.

Hotel rooms begin at $89 per night (plus tax): more information will be coming shortly.

You can find out more about the hotel on our hotel page including information for those with mobility or other accessibility needs.

What:
Our plans are still in progress (and we’d love your ideas and help) but include

  • Programming and workshops that have time and space to go into depth.
  • Rituals and other gatherings
  • Music programming throughout the weekend
  • A major musical event on Saturday night complete with a dessert buffet
  • Sunday afternoon tea to recognise those who have built our community spaces and resources over the years.
  • Vendors and information tables about our local community

What you can do to help:

Sign up for our mailing list: Over on the left side, you’ll see a purple box. Sign up for our mailing list and get news and information as it comes out.

Register early: Not only do you save money, but you give us more resources to plan an even better event!

Let us know your ideas! We want to make this a great event for as many people as possible. (Please be realistic in your suggestions, though: as a first-year event, we want to be prudent in our plans for our time, money, and energy until we have a good idea of the number of registrations and volunteers.)

Consider if you might want to offer programming: We’re particularly looking for deeper looks at topics we’ve enjoyed in the past. We’ll be asking our past presenters, but we’d love to add some new possibilities to the mix.

Invite others: We’d especially love this to become an event that draws not only the Twin Cities Pagan community but Pagans from the Upper Midwest. If you have contacts or connections anywhere in the Upper Midwest Pagan community, please let us know so we can reach out to them.

Volunteer: We have a wide range of jobs that will need volunteers – and we’re glad to train you. Tasks include helping with registration, staffing the hospitality suite, assisting with programming set-up, and many more. (We also have ongoing volunteer positions available in planning the event or even being on our board.)

Sponsor the event: We have a wide range of sponsorship opportunities available. You can buy an ad in our program book, sponsor a particular event (for example, if you’d like a really great musical event, you might sponsor that), or sponsor a membership for someone in the community who couldn’t join us otherwise. We’ll have more information in the coming months, but sign up for our mailing list and/or email info@tcpaganpride.org for more details.

Who are we?

Paganicon is run by the Twin Cities Pagan Pride organisation. We are an independent 501(c)3 group separate fromĀ  Pagan Pride International. We are entirely volunteer-run, and we can always more help.
